Jacky has been the driving force behind my pursuit of a career in hairdressing. I vividly recall my first visit to his avant-garde salon, Headquarters, in 1985. As a high school student, I diligently saved all my pocket money to afford a haircut by Jacky every three months. The transformative power of his haircuts left a lasting impression on me, showcasing the remarkable impact a great haircut can have on a person. Jacky's mastery in hairdressing truly amazed me and set me on my own path in this industry.
Vidal Sassoon is a paramount figure in the world of hairstyling, often hailed as the Godfather of modern haircutting. He revolutionized the craft, elevating it to unprecedented heights and bestowing upon hairdressers a level of respect and admiration previously unimaginable. Like many others who share a deep passion for the art of haircutting, I found myself profoundly inspired by Sassoon’s innovative techniques during my time working with Jacky. This inspiration ultimately led me to pursue advanced training at the prestigious Vidal Sassoon Academy, as well as Toni & Guy in London during the 90s, fulfilling a lifelong dream and significantly enriching my skills and understanding of the craft.
